A Night Out at the Movies

The 2021 Vista Foundation 48Hours has been a wild ride so far! We had 437 teams register to take on the challenge to make a film in 48-hours, 396 films were handed in and 41 teams were disqualified for being late, technical issues, copyright reasons or were simply missing in action.
After sorting through all the films, we screened the heats on YouTube. This was an online premier for all of the films submitted and a chance for teams to see the competition and write reviews in our screening room.
Now that the heats are over, we are now focused on delivering an amazing night in the cinema for our city finals events in 8 different regions around Aotearoa.
We encourage you to get your tickets to view the finalist films in your region on the big screen and find out which films rose to the top to get the top prizes and a shot at the Grand Finals at the Civic Theatre on May 22nd.

Come along and enjoy the sweat, tears, and talent that arose out of the one of the most unique and subscribed film competitions in the country. After the screening, we will present the top filmmakers with their awards. Support our local filmmakers by grabbing tickets*.

*If the event is affected by COVID-19 alert levels, we will do our best to postpone the event. If the event is cancelled we will stream the event on our YouTube Channel and refund the tickets minus the credit card fee. Finalist teams receive 5 comps per team.
