Here come Auckland’s A-Team city managers

Posted 21st July 2022

Auckland is being treated this year to three new city managers and we’re calling them The A Team, and for good reason too. Anna, Alix and Ali come from our sister sustainable film outfit, The Outlook for Someday. These experienced storytellers have a solid understanding of filmmaking and know just what it takes to make a cracking 48Hour short film.

Alix is a prolific producer of short films, music videos, series, and feature films. She works exclusively on projects she loves for their unique perspectives about our world, their clear voice, and bold vision. Alix is excited to see team leaders emerge, working hard to get everything together that they need to tell their story.

Anna has worked in film and television for over a decade, in both NYC and Auckland. Previously a producer at Candlelit Pictures, Anna now writes and directs films. She is excited to see the creative use of elements and moments that make you feel something.

Ali is a writer who completed her Masters in Scriptwriting with the International Institute of Modern Letters and is a musician playing in various bands around Wellington and Auckland. She is excited to see how music is used in the Vista Foundation 48Hours films to amplify the story and how teams can create an awesome characters arc in the short time they have to figure out who their characters even are!

The A Team, Anna, Alix and Ali are hoping to see stories that matter! Films that make you understand new perspectives and have a strong emotional impact.
