My Dumpling

I really enjoyed this film. Witty and well timed line delivery from the actors and some brilliant moments the showcase the hilarious dynamic within families. The storyline was imaginative and there were some great chaotic moments that really lent themselves perfectly to the genre given.

The Janitor

A fantastic opening with the dog tag and mistaken identity. The film lends itself entirely to what 48hour film festival is all about- creating something fun to watch for the audience. Utterly bonkers but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Great job, team! Shame about the DQ!

Last Night

This film had all the makings of something that could be easily adapted for a feature length. Unfortunately, due to time restraints both within the film length and within the nature of the 48 hours, there were too many questions left unanswered for me! Nonetheless, I enjoyed the bitesize snippet we got. Shame about the DQ- look forward to hopefully seeing some more of you guys next year!

No Woman No Cry

A great production, beautifully shot. The camera work, editing, and sound was very adept considering the time restraints for a 48 hour film. It's a real shame this was a DQ. I imagine it would have done very well in the competition overall...

Crimson Snow

Stunningly shot film with epic scenery. As mentioned above, no easy feat to do with exposing for snow and faces making it all the more impressive. I have to agree with Mista Teas. I felt the fall was a little misplaced, and possibly could have been shot in a simpler way to give more dramatic feel over comical. Still, an impressive attempt using 3d (?) considering the time restraints.

In response to the actors changing sides, I think that he had used his hat and cloak on the rock as a decoy to mislead the villain into his trap. A classic of the genre.

Overall a great submission from Sons of the Broad Meadow. Well done, team.

Taking The Mick

The plotline was a little far fetched in regards to someone stealing a car due to work and family related stress which took me out a little from the story that i was pretty gripped to beforehand. That aside, I really enjoyed watching this short film. Cleverly edited to reveal Mick over and over. Nice moment of them coming together to help him move on. Nice work guys!
