Ok so this is my own film and like I always do I'll review it honestly. It's my 4th 48 hour film and now my favourite of my teams films with 08 rating 7.5/10, 09 rating 8/10, 07 rating 8.5/10 and now 11 rating 9/10. Everything about the film making process of this film was just so easy and we had no issues and I honestly believe it shows on screen. I think we have a tight script, two great actors and really great comedy that works on more then just a shallow level. The technicals let me down with some soft focus and some slightly off eye lines, and I didn't even bother with a colour grade or in-depth sound mix, which in doing so means I got it in stress free at 5pm. I love it! My team loves it! And the crowd seemed to love it as well! Hope the reviewers did as well! :)

I'm not entirely sure how I managed to enjoy this film and still end up a bit queasy at the end of it, but there we go. Like Mike made a great film, which was hilarious in its own way and it certainly had the audience going, but it wasn't a horror film. I think this team missed the genre completely which is a pity because it really was a great film. We follow the inner dialogue of a very aggressive and vicious, yet equally tiny little dog who keeps murdering other animals. We hear him swearing and being relatively grotesque about his actions and inclinations, as his owner and her boyfriend find two dead cats in the yard (there was a third, but he ate it). Basing a film around a dog means you really have to work with your camera shots, lighting and sound to create the illusion of a performance. Like Mike could really have pushed this, brought their angles higher or lower depending on whether the dog was supposed to look dumb or look evil and it was a bit of a missed opportunity. That being said, The story was solid, and the ending (while a little bit strange) worked. I'm not sure what they had to do to the dog to get it to walk as funny as it did in the ending, after it had been supposedly lobotomised, but I hope the most it suffered was a mild case of humiliation having to wear whatever that was on a big screen. Overall, the audience was laughing, and it left everyone feeling good (though slightly nauseous). The idea of lobotomising a dog with a piece of wire made me a little sick, not to mention the thought of eating and killing cats, but I laughed along with everyone else nonetheless. It did lose points in my rating due to the missing genre which was very dissapointing.

I'm not sure how i felt about this one -i certainly laughed a lot, along with the audience, but i think is was just a little too 'gimmicky' for me. The voiceover for the dog was great, but felt a bit like it was trying to overly appeal to the audience. Still, very enjoyable -good job Like Mike!

One thing can be said.... I will never look at either a small dog, or watch another children's programe without some voice in my head saying "Look at me!!" Though not the most perfect movie and the story may of went of target part way through, it did catch my attention and the voice over for the dog was funny! The only weird part from my point of view would have to be the ending when the dog was seen acting in that way? Weird though did leave me puzzled? But I will never take little dogs for granted again.... well maybe or maybe not!!

great simply story and filming, really enjoyed watching it and i belive that got the productions values / script / acting just right for what the 48hrs is all about However, it completely missed the genre. overall though one of the best in the heat, great job

This was a great small film. Probably a bit too much swearing to my liking but the idea of a crazy dog killing off animals was great. Didn't see too much horror as i was not even slightly scared - that is until i heard the voice of the dog which was just terrific.

A talking (in his head anyway) serial killer dog and his 'owner' and her partner live through the terror of what the dog is doing. I laughed a lot in this film but an innocent dog with a mean voice over is always going to get a laugh, I'm just not sure there was much more to this film than the one joke. I didn't feel like I was watching a horror film even though I enjoyed it as a film. The acting was well done (I believe the lead was in Cuz a few years back) and the end of the film was great as I couldn't work out just how they were going to get the ex bully across. Overall an enjoyable film but I think they strayed too far or subverted their genre too much, was more a crime film than a horror.

During the first bits of dialogue i was apprehensive as to how good this film was going to be based on the american accents, you could tell it wasn't... their native tongue. Once bobby came into the picture however, i was laughing to the point internal injury. It became the funniest film in the heat by miles. The quality, filthy cockney accent/diabolical dialogue, juxtaposed with the passive face of the dog just got to me in a big way. I don't know if i've ever laughed so much during a film. They dropped the C bomb (c**t) enough times for it to have effect but not to desensitize it, and ended it very, very satisfyingly. Well done guise. I really want to see it again, chuck it on you tube. :)

So this movie started kinda slow... The bits I did like, when the Dog first started talking, when he said “Fuck off you slag”! (Reminded me of the start scene of treasure island in the Admiral Bembo Inn), the freeze frame/slow mo ending, and the dog's voice acting. The bits I didn't like... pretty much everything else. I don't know why I just didn't like this film.. it seemed like a 10 second youtube video idea streatched over 7minutes and adding pretentious american actors. Don't get me wrong it was well made, I could see what it was trying to do, I just plain disliked it for some reason and did not enjoy watching it. You guys have some good rpoduction skills and the voice acting of the dog was great, plus a few awesome moments in the film.. looking forward what you bring out next year! (Hopefully I will like it this time! Lol)
