I had to hunt FOREVER for this review. They played this during heat 03. Well shot, sound was super tight. Excellent work on the Musical/Dance and I've had "David is a secret agent" stuck in my head for some time. Chur.

Three teens meet and wonder where their other mate, David, is. The first theory is that he has been taken by a cult; the second that he's taken revnege against Bobby Young; the third that he's become an Mi6 agent. At each change in theory a new song is sung! Pigs Guts AKA Tannock's Team are a favourite cult team in Christchurch. In their third year now, the first thing that was clear during their intro was that these boys have grown up as their voices are a bit deeper for one! As usual these guys have given it their all. I remember last year that they got Femme Fatale so musical seemed another cruel genre for these guys. Even though they only have three songs and they don't exactly drive the story, the songs were good! (albeit simliar sounding). Nice! Always admire your attitude and forever envious that I didn't start at this as young as you have. See ya next year.
This was a sweet and enjoyable film, loved the characters and thought it was innovatively shot (especially the shootout scene). Thoughtful and engaging script too. Well done guys!
really liked the look and feel of your movie, the actors connected well, Joe's singing was good, songs were well placed adding to the overall humour of the characters, together with lines like "keep off the grass". I also liked the cult costumes. songs did sound a bit similar however and the line of dialogue "wait, isn't he an ex-bully?" and bent wire didn't quite fit surreptitiously. a few of the shots could have been better like the close up of David's eyes in the cult scene: it could have been framed a bit better. but then again some of them were really good like the shot looking down the pistol at David's face: it looked steady and was well framed. the shot of the cultists heads looming overhead then fade to black was very nice too. I also liked the twist at the end it really lifted the narrative of the movie for me and made it a happy ending.

[Watched this in the screening room] I really liked this film! So three guys go to the park where they usually hang out, but the other guy isn't there. So they start talking about where he could be, which turns into a musical for each new theory (kidnaped by a cult, a secret agent etc) accompanied by a little video clip. I thought this film worked very well, a really good and simple idea that reminded me on "The Lonely Island" and "Flight of the concords". The film flows well and each new scenario was executed pretty well (I loved the secret agent bit). The acting was pretty good I must admit, non of this typical kiwi accent sounding weird on camera, just sounded natural. I guess the end was abit predictable, but hey sometimes thats what makes a good film. Thats just what this was, a good film. It wasn't mind blowingly amazing, but it was pretty good. I think if more jokes had been written into the script, the cinematography was up to par (was pretty average) and if the musical bits had been recorded professionally then this could have been a real contender in the finals. However as it is its a great film showing the passion and spirit of v48 hours, and Im looking foward to seeing your guys entry next year! You should watch "Jack Sparrow" by "The Lonely Island" on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI6CfKcMhjY , similar concept and a look at what your film reminded me of, and what it could look like if you guys got some good gear. Keep it up!
