This was so beautiful from the very beginning. The scenery was to die for. The plot had nice build up like a mystery should. It was really really pleasant to watch thanks for that. Awesome work.

Beautifully shot. I especially loved the shot with the axe handle out of focus. And you guys looked like you had time to do a good colour grade too. Well done. I liked the use of the barbed wire. And I was definitely intrigued why this guy was making holes in the floor. (You had a location where you could do that? Wow.)
We see a farmer smashing up some floorboards with a crowbar, before being taken back to earlier in the day/week. Bobby Young bullies his apprentice/assistant around the farm quite strongly, yelling at him about fencing, smokos and shifting stock. A really fresh vibe to this one with some good acting and jokes, and whilst it was certainly mysterious and the farmland scenery looked great, the narrative lacked focus, with the payoff creating confusion rather than resolution in my opinion.
Good lord, was this a beautiful looking film. The plot was fairly minimal, with just enough ambiguity to make the ending work, but seriously, this was awesomely shot! Beautiful country landscape and great use of focus and close-ups. I know it shouldn't really factor in, but your opening introduction had me in hysterics. Seriously funny guys who made a genuinely mysterious film. Well done.
This is the first film that comes to mind (the day after) when thinking about my heat. It might just be me, but I really liked the use of the line (What have you got?). It's the most natural fit for a 48 line that I can recall. I believed the characters, the location, the floorboards and the predicament. Oh, and it was beautiful. Nice job guys.

Pretty but I didn't get it.

Great cinematography and acting! Definitely loved the axe handle shot by far, totes prof! Some great flying and swinging axe hi-jinx also, which at times had the hairs on my neck standing. Great effort!
I have to mirror what other's have said - this was a gorgeous short. The landscape, the use of depth of field, the framing - this was a beautifully shot film. I loved the David Lynch/Oliver Stone style mystery and the final shot was nicely understated while explaining a fair bit. The two actors were a bit hit and miss with their performances, but managed to carry the hefty subject matter well enough to keep me engaged in the story. Freaked out when it looked like the farmhand was almost hit in the head by a hammer being tossed in his direction. My second favourite film of the heat. Great job, guys.
