Just made no sense, lucky for the boxing part otherwise it would have have had completely nothing going for it.....

Started off really well with a beautifully shot beginning and some good set ups. However once the party started, about halfway through, the film dragged, with it being overly long and not disguising the thin plot. Overall it was a tad depressing, I didn't really care about the character and the ending was a bit predictable - a shame since it started off so well and the team showed some real promise. On second viewing, I was able to reflect on it all a bit more and enjoyed it more. It stacked up well in the finals - but my comment around the dance scene being overly long still stands (my comment on a thin plot was perhaps a bit harsh, perhaps it being a missed opportunity to develop something like the character or relationship more would have been fairer).
Awesome job team. One of the harder genres and nice to see you went for drama instead of cheap in-jokes like many others. The moment on the roof top felt very genuine. While it wasn't a huge plot or arching story, this film made me think what I would do at the end of the world (probably two girls in a car...) So I think it achieved its aim. Sharp cinematography and like the two time-lapses. Looked like a commercial in my opinion. Music choice complemented the story well and the voice at start of song had a reminiscing feeling and called me back to times in our past like the moon landing. Then the final shot when the lead works down the empty street reminded me of 'I am Legend' and I love that film so Boom!

It was my favorite. it has everything in it. End of the world for the one person who wants to kill himself ?! Brilliant idea !!! your nicky brick was the unluckiest ever ! loved the BOXER at the beginning. it was all good.
Started off great, then faded with very long party scenes that could've been cut by half, liked the twist at the end. Overall, well done.

The first few scenes of this film looked awesome and I thought we were watching a potential finalist but unfortunately it gradually went downhill with an unnecessarily long party scene followed quickly by an unsatisfying ending. Great production quality but lacking in story.

Started off with some nice shots and had genuine acting thru out, the dancing scene felt as if it draged a bit and the story line felt a bit flat at times but looking back at it with some time to think, the character we follow is clinically depressed, we need to get a feel for what he feels for it to be real. Over all i think this was a brave and interesting choice for a film while it lacks the typical humor and shock factor of a standout 48hr film i believe this one has heart and is better than people will give it credit for.

This out-of-focus (in the sense of having a strong desire to polish one's spectacles because they are blurry) film is like biting into a boxed-chocolate and finding the centre isn't quite to one's flavour. Strong beginning, strong ending with a middle that dragged and could have used heavier snipping. Still, it's memorable and there is an overall sense of not being too disappointed.

Like many of the other reviews, this one began with such promise! I particularly enjoyed that there was no explanation of why the world was ending... it was just a fact. The party scene seemed to add little to progress the storyline except how he met the girl. I also think if Nicky had really wanted to die he would've jumped rather than deciding to box with the boxer. So motivation of the main character was a bit lacking. We didn't feel for Nicky particularly. Visually nice though.

Hey everybody, Thanks heaps for the reviews. For the consistent helpful criticism, It was a case of "if only we had more time". Look forward to taking what we learned in our first year of entering a team, and coming back stronger next year. :-) Thanks again - P
