If there's one thing that's as much a tradition in 48hours as render crashes and bad sound, its straight guys doing awkward, giggly homosexual humour. This was a fairly inoffensive example of this sub-genre, but then again maybe I've seen too many 48hours films for many things to offend/shock me anymore. On a positive note, the two leads performed well, and the location was very cool.

Banana death was hilarious.

This film made me laugh. Well done guys

Somehow the choice of actors and dialogue delivery (not to forget the burning image of two unattractive males making out in a brief moment)...worked for the genre, they had to work with... entertaining

This is a film I thought just didn't live up to its potential, as it had some cool things going for it. The two main characters were really good but I would have loved to see them developed more. Also the quick sex scene montage was well played and got some good laughs from being as short as it was. But it didn't have a strong enough ending I feel but shows good potential for their future films for sure.

I enjoyed this film and loved the banana death scene. A guy 'couch surfs' at an apartment and gets more than he bargains for. Nicely shot and with a fantastic location. Not sure if they went for the two male erotic thriller because there were no women in the cast or if it was a style choice but I don't really think it matters anyway. Loved the reveal of the characters name, very subtle.

One country boy coming across a psycho freak for "gay" times and opportunities for lots of laughs? Yeah...Nah sorry seems another film in it for getting the most laughs. Don't shy away from making your genre, the story was there and could have been a seriously good erotic thriller. Good points? Cool location and nice work with the effects of blood for those of us on a cheap budget. A banana in the eye will do it every time in film that is. The "Naki" actor was great and so was the creepo guy. Good effort.

When I first saw this at the heat I thought that it was okay but that the story lacked a bit towards the end. However since then I have retold the entire story shot for shot to at least three people all of whom have been put off bananas/Fijian hotdogs. Highlight of the year for me at 48 Hours, my personal favourite parts: -the fact that the guy is couch surfing in Auckland from Taranaki -the Limpbizkit beanie/NFL jersey combo -"What are you doing in me Richie?" -ridiculous eyelines in the stairwell scene -"I usually go for Europeans" -that Nicky was tied up with some kind of USB cable
