Apart from mine (:P) this was my favourites from tonight. So clever and odd with some halarious moments. It's always so awesome when there's different ages. So so good. Congrats! Ben

Genuine lols! Must've been kinda awkward for the parents who brought their kids to this heat.

Story line was very inventive. Really liked the voice overs. Genuinely humourous. Not sure about the ending with the guy getting into the spa.

this was one was fab!l was wondering through most of it what on earth the 'urban legend' was, quite neat to reveal it at end. Definitely the best dialogue of any of the films tonight, great script! good story, loved the ending and the nerdy dude was an excellent actor! ha ha, esp, in the last scene. GREAT use of the prop element

Really good film, nicely written as well some of that V48hours humor, just an overall good package with some good laughs.

Great acting from the 'well-dressed man'. Odd storyline.
Again - because I'm a hater of comedy... I didn't enjoy this... Also it seemed a little crude (perhaps I'm a prude). But you can't fault this short... well acted...nice story, explained simply - perfect for a short film. Amusing voice-overs as each flatmate imagines their scenarios.. Great old guy with a pipe (relation to the nerdy dude?). Maybe didn't quite need the shot of the spunk on the leaf (again - I'm clearly a Nana). What was the quote by the dad "I'll paint a nipple on that bald head and titty fuck you" you know they had fun in the writing room with that. Yeah - well done... good effects for each of the scenes. Stand-out.
Real into the narrator character, what a cool dude. Some classic lines but I thought it was a bit weird that none of the flatmates seemed to remember if they'd had sex with Nicky or not. Eughhgwuhwugh semen on a leaf.

Yep...! DEF awkward for those of us who had kids (we'll be more prepared next time!). Some really funny moments, but have to agree with one other review that (actually many of the adults in our group) thought it went past funny to - just not funny any more and more just plain gross. But I guess the same as "Bruno" or toilet-humour. No limits! Some funny moments & script writing, but not a fav of mine as the overall film of the heat.

Yeah really liked it- great quirky rustic humour, and story rocked along too (with no irrelevant shots/dialogue), ands great ending. I thought maybe one too many flatmates for the 7 min story, so didn't get as much connection to characters as could have- but minor issue. Only problem I had with it, is that it didn't have any of the random elements integrated into it (I felt the leaf was just tacked on), which is going to lose it points with the judges. And while the Urban Legend bit was very nicely done at the end, it wasn't really prevalent during rest of movie.

This film made me want to vomit in some places but that did not mean that it was not brilliant! This narrator character was so sharply dressed that it is hard not to fall in love with him at first sight! I was very pleased to see some characters who were well off enough to afford a flat with a heated spa pool, it was very boring to see the same old homeless people and underage people in every short.

Had some great laugh moments and was well written. Very awkward for those who had kids there though! Definately a stand out in the heat though.

This was wrong for all the right reasons if thats fair to say made me laugh at the situations the guys would come up with!!! hahaha

I loved this film. The dialogue was great, genuinely hilarious and entertaining, the film as a whole was put together well and it was refreshingly original. Great performances, too. I just really didn't think the spunk-on-a-leaf thing was necessary! I'm no prude, but that really took the film down several notches for me, and in the end it didn't get my vote because of that :(
Looking back on this film a few days after i watched it, I realized there isn't really anything you can fault it for. Great acting, great pacing and some of the best dialogue i've seen from a 48HOURS film in a while. This is easily the best script of the night and it all came together to make a short that is both funny and well crafted. The reveal for why it was an urban legend was also fantastic. The ending may have taken things a bit too far, but that's more of a personal taste thing than anything else. You also got the feeling that these people could actually be flatmates.
Acting was believable, too believable in my books. Since when was sleeping around with your flatmate an Urban Legend? It might be for some people but whenever I think about urban legends I think about crocodiles in the sewers, moas in Titirangi or yeti. The writing and character's behaviors were unnatural in some parts. Didn't get the presenter entering the spa fully clothed when he is fully aware that someone has jizzed on it - so wrong, bad taste for a gag I suppose (excuse the pun). Editing was good but you didn't nailed that theme like you nailed that spa. Sorry you guys you get a star mainly because of the lack of originality and creativity.
Very nice. Could tell why you got nominated for 'best script', some wicked dialogue in there. The handheld doco-style almost made it feel like it was a home video, not in a bad way, more in a 'this feels very natural' way. This may have also been your downfall though when it came to being selected for the finals, as it appears the judges picked more 'stylized' films over a good story this year. Good dynamic between the characters, and I actually thought the bit at the end with the man climbing into the spa, suit and all, was a nice comedic touch.
