Lucky Girl

I had really hard time to find this movie on the review boards. It was shown during Heat 7, if I found the right one... As with many of the night's film, the story left was a bit of a let down. Couldn't figure out what that other couple wanted to do with the little girl, if they wanted to adopt her and why their parents wanted to put her for adoption. But there was a moment that worked really well, towards the end, I squeezed my girlfriend's hand as a reaction. The actors were pretty good too. The movie has a creepy mood that makes up for the failed storytelling. And the intro was the best I saw, incredibly funny, a masterpiece in itself.

This film stood out among many of the evening's films. With it's creepy soundtrack, captivating story and talented actors I was left uncomfortable and concerned for the Lucky Girl. This horror film did its job.
