Zero to Hero to Zero

Not the best put together film in the world but it's funny, entertaining and it works. This film wasn't the only film to do the campy rec camcorder effect so it would be unfair of me to slam only this film for it but I think maybe it could have done without it, not that it in any way affected the story, it's just how I feel about it that's all.

The cutest film of the night. The main protagonist had the loveliest of lisps and a wonderful way of speaking ('what? you are stuck and need help?' awwww). Good comic timing. I wish the team the best of luck.

Great effort for a first time by a group which has good understanding of humour and timing. Opening shots were brilliant. Waiting for the phone call - awesome. Look forward to more from these guys.

I enjoyed this film despite some weak moments when scenes were drawn out a bit too long. Waiting for the phone to ring had some lovely comic moments. Superhero action shots a lot of fun.

Great for a kids team! At times I found my mind wondering though, could have picked up the pace a little as it times it felt slow. Main actor was awesome and the story overall although been done a lot was fun. Well done team!

I particularly liked the "waiting-for-a-phone-call" scene. Nice comic timing. Excellent acting by the main protagonist. I liked the mixing of the grainy home video footage with the HD quality shots. I think editing could have been tighter as some parts were a bit drawn out. Overall great effort by this young team. Looking forward to seeing more next year!

The Intro was a great start! I got the same pleasure watching the film that these young ones appear to have had producing it. Some fabulous comic timing and a well produced piece of work. I look forward to seeing more from The Porcupine Circus next year.

I really enjoyed this film, it was hilarious, and the timing of the phone scene was amazingly executed. Overall, it was thoroughly enjoyable and a fantastic film. Keep it up! :)

Decent for such a young team, but it seemed like they were just trying to act overly cute for a good reaction. At times it seemed slow, such as the waiting for a phone call, it seemed to go on for 3/4 of the actual film. With abit of trimming and refining it could have been better. Still not a bad effort.
