Parallel Lines

Another team that wasted 30 seconds to establish a character waking up/going through their morning routine (yawn). Could have established that we were looking at a parking warden a lot quicker than that without compromising the story at all. Off for his daily quota, he is one of the nasty wardens who will get you even if you park in the wrong area for 2 minutes. A parallel story runs as a group of crooks prepare to pull of a heist and a quick getaway only their fates are set to intertwine with the council employee. Due to the editing and confusion over who got clamped (the cop or the robbers?) the film's big dramatic moment lost its impact unfortunately. I know there was also a twist but the editing meant this was also not clear either. A bit strange as the film was entirely clear in structure and working towards a nice payoff until the final 30 seconds.
That same alarm tone I've heard many a time. A film that really restored itself after an innocuous first act. I could see from the main action piece with the robbery that this team did well with location, probably working with 2 - 4 crew some doubling as actors. Atfter building some positive momentum through the second act the final payoff was well timed however I feel the beginning could have been further compressed without compromising any char. development. A good short

Moved along at a good pace that kept me entertained to the end. The parking warden from my perspective was established as a superhero in disguise or simply unconnected, he was cold or hot but nowhere in between in relation to the events of the story. The acting was very good I felt the characters all had individual charm, along with the voice actors speaking over the radios. This movie made me smile, it was a good effort. The Internationals have told a classic crime story that keeps the viewer entertained.
