Not sure why it was disqualified. That's a real pity, as they nailed the genre; both subverting and celebrating the musical movie form (I learned to say stuff like that at Uni). Catchy songs, good performances, no technical issues.

easily my favorite of the night, very disappointed it was disqualified as it definitely would have taken my top spot great use of the genre and very entertaining

Brilliant
A lot of work here for 48 hours, well done, funny and inventive, shame it was disqualified

Loved it in all its cheesyness, great concept and execution, was cracking up all the way through, such a shame it was disqualified

DQ'd - I remember seeing these guys at the hand in waiting for the file to transfer to the USB but they didn't make it on time. Gutted for these guys because this was a great musical. Had a lot of swearing, as the name suggests, but unlike some other movies it was actually a key part of the whole plot. This movie was funny, entertaining, told a good story and had some good acting in it. Great job team, sorry you didn't get it in on time cause I think it was great.

Loved it! So funny! Such a shame it was disqualified! Really enjoyed this movie
Just a great film. So much work and so well done. Cool story, brilliant acting. The best genuine musical I've seen in 48. Gutted you missed out.

I thought this was a brilliant film. Very funny, well executed and had a lot of effort and thought put into it. Guaranteed these guys (and girls) had a lot of fun making it as well. A real shame about the disqualification though.

I thought this was a brilliant concept for a 48Hours musical, and pulled off (almost) without a hitch. The singing was more than good enough (except when it intentionally wasn't), and the acting was enjoyably hammy all round. I particularly enjoyed the appearance of the father, and the general reflexive vibe of the whole thing. The one thing I would say is that the opening number could have concluded slightly more strongly; You had a great hook line/title ("a song in my heart"), and the introduction of the non-singing protagonist added interest to the number, but the song itself just sort of ends without bringing everything together.

Classy work by a consistently hilarious team. It's been so rare this year to see musicals where the singing makes sense for the plot. I think these people could sleep on camera and it'd be fun to watch.

I LOVED THIS FILM SO MUCH!!! BRILLIANT on all accounts! I would enjoy this movie in any context! So guys, massive shame it was disqualified, but please release it somewhere else so we can all enjoy it again!
Wow, wow WOW! "Such Fun" as Miranda's Mum would say. I am in awe at your genius and skilled actors. IMHO without the DQ it would have been a contender for Top 12 National final. You must be gutted, ah well, there's always next year aye.

Wow! So much work has gone into this, I can't believe you were only a few seconds late! If I had tried to make this I think I would have been a couple of weeks late. Well done on a great short film and I'm sure you are a strong contender for the best disqualified film.

Everyone's already said it - absolutely amazing bloody film, a finals contender for sure if you made it in time blah blah blah...really good job guys, thoroughly enjoyed.

A young man struggles with life in a world of musicals. Absolute tragedy that this was a late submission, one of the better-realised and polished films I've seen in 48 Hours. The quality of the song-writing was extremely high and songs were used consistently and well throughout.
Wow very good. I really enjoyed the musical. Petty you were DQ though
