Definitely the funniest film of the heat, with a sweet storyline and great filming. I loved the video game graphics and the fade to grey colour grading. Top effort!

Set inside the world of a late 80s role-playing video game, a lonely guy seems in love with an electronic device, which he loses and distraught, then constantly dreams about. Madness and craziness and gamey-ness follows as a literal transformation takes place. This began with quick a nice looking team intro which had my hopes high for the quality of the film that was to follow. It didn’t quite live up to my expectations though as I struggled to really keep up with the story-line which confused the hell out me for the most part. However, the rest of the audience seemed to not only get it but really enjoy this and certainly the overall gaming approach had great impact. Filming was solid, sound consistent and there were really good use of titles. Good use of colour grading as well. Good job then, but just not for me.

Slick and charming retro-inspired mystery, somewhere between SCOTT PILGRIM and BRICK. Some links to compulsory elements were a bit tenuous, but I defy anyone who sees this film not to smile at the dream sequence, or the scene where a teddy bear is tucked in and told to "have a little sleep".

Very nice - I really liked the video game themes.

I thought the Reunion genre was stretched a bit with this plot but it was none the less a well put together effort. This was the most humerous entry in the heat and the crew must have had a lot of fun making it. The sound editing was not up to the standard of some of the other teams but overall it was an enjoyable, funny movie.

This was my pick of the heat. It pressed all my buttons. Very stylish intro. I liked it. Nice logo. Very nice title sequences, with the video game theme. Loved the sequence with BMO (Adventure Time) and the hero, running and playing. Sound effect with the tooth paste was gross and amazing. Putting the bear to bed was hilarious. Great music during the school hallway scene. I liked the subtitles. Line of dialogue was kind of wedged in... could have used a bit of aftermath. Great music during search sequence. Fight sequence was great, loved the graphics. Great music again and good sound effects. Loved the Me vs Me sequence. Thought it was hilarious, though the music fit the somber mood. Loved the color grading differences when without and with the gamie. Loved the resolution and final music. Very well done.
