I thought it was good looking with a unique atmosphere. But I didn’t quite understand what was going on well enough to enjoy it. The fishbowl in the seatbelt was an audience-pleaser!

Solid premise for a race against the clock film initially, but then the story lost it's way a bit, I thought. The ending didn't really relate to the rest of the film, and although I appreciated the attempt at a meaningful emotional conclusion, I hadn't really connected with the characters, so it didn't really do it for me. Some good ideas in there though.

I really liked the idea of the film. The title is really fantastic too! The story didn't seem to go anywhere however which was a let down. I would have liked less of the guy racing to find the girl and more of his final moments. Would have been great to learn about what he did that he needed forgiveness for and to really make the audience connect with him before he passed away. The other problem was that I was left wondering if any of the Deathday dates were even real as it was Morgan giving them out. From the start I wondered this and it kind of made me less interested. Even at the end we don't know if the guy actually died at the time on the card either. Takes a bit away from the drama.

Conceptually ambitious this film was a bit of a mixed bag for me. The humour was great (I do love my funny films) and the performances were solid. I agree with other reviewers that it felt like the story needed something more to it. The idea was so cool and there could have been a great and frenetic race against the clock for the guy who was going to die. Unfortunately it did at time feel like we spent too much time with the wrong character dealing with what she felt were her final moments and about midway through it felt like the film lost steam.

For most of this film I had no idea what was happening. There were just two people with bits of paper looking/seeming equally as confused as I was running about the place with fishbowls. And then he came back and said something re: 'you're not dying today, I am' and then it all made sense and I was pretty into it. The lighting was weird but the music was nice and seemed fitting. The crossword seemed ominous when the film wasn't particularly so: I liked that detail. The fish thing was cute I guess but I didn't buy it. The "she used to be a mother and I used to drive" line was subtle, telling, and heart-wrenching. This was a great concept for a short film and wasn't *quite* pulled off in the 48hours but I trust that this team have the potential to do more a bigger time allowance.
