Overtaken

Veterans of the 48hours (since 2006 eh?) TSBF have always tried to have their best foot forward. This is no exception. A well made character based film with a gold-digger leading lady, a soppy killer-husband (wait!-what?) and...well thats about it... She wants more-more-more, he kills to support her and the undertaking business. She is awful. A manipulative harpie enabled by a doormat of a man. Weakness begets greater weakness as he kills to keep her satisfied. Sadly, the central conceit of the film was not realised, as there was no indication of her ever being satisfied on screen. In fact, chemistry between him & her was obviously absent. These two occuped space in the frame together, but it did not feel like they wanted to be in that space together. Did they ever touch? Just what did they see in each other? Casting. Casting. Casting. Anyway, he finally twigs to whats going on and set her up for one of the fastest arrests in Queenstowns history. How do I know it was set in Queenstown? The lovely drones told us. A satisfying outing from TSBF.
