Post-Party Pickle

Awesome concept and good effort - the quiet audio was very noticeable and detracted from the experience, but great pay-off at the end with the dad coming in to save the day!
I'll also confirm I had a quiet audio mix here, and was watching the heats on good headphones with my sound up loud. However this didn't distract too much from an energetic SWORD IN THE STONE type send up of opening a pickle jar that a dusty group of young men are most keen on after having an absolute rager the night before.
The reason being is that the film was told with very minimal dialogue, operating very much like a silent film, which upon reflection is how a lot of people are after a big night out, no talking until food.
Your real highlight for me was the carney atmosphere of bringing in the have a go for a couple of bucks crowd to try their might at the jar. A direct but enjoyable comment on masculinity, which was pleasing to see, with the chainsaw and resulting injuries of the attempts making me guffaw quite a bit.
For the craving satisfying food to be released coming down to technique over strength, again another smart bit of social commentary by the team I thought.
Whilst shot in scope I did feel that the extra wide space was not as well utilised as it could have been by the team given the insular nature of the flat setting, but a minor gripe for mine with the sound already covered.
Story: 3/5
Technical: 2.5/5
Elements: 3/5
Overall: 3/5
